  • Viruses are biological organisms? They are just complexes of (glyco-) protein, lipid and genome element (nucleic acids). Once such complexes enter the cells convenient for them, the world shall be changed to the viral universe, where the gene expression, the replication, reconstitution of the viral structure progress automatically like factories and finally, millions of daughter viruses are produced. The viral strategies from the attachment/entry to egress of daughter viruses is very tactic and elaborate. We have been trying to disclose such elaborate tactics of hepatitis B virus and Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus and going for viral control/regulation to treat virus-caused diseases.
    Virology-related

  • 1) Analysis of the relationship between virus-host factors in viral infection
    2) Identification of unknown viral receptor, its application for establishment of Infection system, and analysis of viral pathogenesis
    3) Exploration of universal vaccine production technique based on the viral engineering
