  • The establishment of compositionally desitinct fluid compartments by various types of epithelial and endothelial cell sheets is crucial for the development and function of most organs in multicellular organisms. Specified mechanisms are required for highly organized cell adhesion to create two dimensionally arranged cell sheets.
